Define your own company culture and mission to create connections. Everybody has to be working together towards a common objective.

Try to act transparently, demonstrating integrity and telling the truth. And, though transparency is not enough to build trust remotely when your co-workers see the effort in making their work experience better, they will more easily trust you.
